My best friend Julie out with her red setter "Lady" only months after her motorcycle accident.
Julie suffered from a broken tibia, a fracture to the base of her skull.
Julie was basically scalped and required 60 stitches to sew her back up. Rods and srews holding her leg together and a couple of months in a neck brace.
Julie consideres hers self lucky to be alive.
While Julie has been unable to work with lady for a while I stepped in and helped a little here and there. Now in Novemeber Julie is feeling a little better but still on one crutch.
When I offered her the oportunity to come out and shoot a couple pheasants over her dog she didn't hesitate for a second. Julie has been very anxious to get out with Lady since the last time was mid August when we had began preparing for this falls hunts. Then the accident at the end of August set everything back.
Julie has now been able to see her dog do things she didn't do before the accident like holding a staunch point
